About the workshop
This workshop will address the concept of ‘internationalisation’ in higher education, its development and what it entails to date. A holistic approach to ‘internationalisation’ will be presented involving curriculum and soft skills needed in the 21st century. The workshop format is hybrid, you can choose if you want to attend the workshop online or at campus.
During the workshop we will
- Review the development of ‘internationalisation’ in higher education’
- Discuss the concept of ‘internationalisation’ in relation to recent policy strategies
- Consider quality aspects of an increased focus on ‘internationalisation of the curriculum’
- Explore how to enhance the quality of assessment within programs by involving mobility of students, academic and administrative staff
- Identify opportunities for integrating an international/intercultural perspective in our own teaching and learn how to teach in a culturally sensitive manner to create rich learning experiences for all students
- Design case material for your own settings
