During the autumn semester, most teaching at Stockholm Business School has been online. We have had some activities on campus such as welcome information for newly admitted students and some teaching. Stockholm Business School follows the guidelines given by Stockholm University centrally and the recommendations and rules from the Public Health Agency of Sweden and the Swedish government.
Stockholm Business School has earlier in the autumn planned to have some teaching and examinations on campus during the latter part of the autumn semester. We have also planned to have activities and examinations on campus during the spring semester 2021.
During the autumn, the spread of covid-19 has gained momentum in society, and on 20 November the Swedish government decided on stricter rules for, among other things, gatherings where a maximum of 8 participants are allowed to gather. Stockholm University's President decided on 24 November that no hall exam should be conducted and that there may not be more than 8 people gathered in groups on campus. On 14 December, further stricter regulations were introduced to prevent the spread of covid-19 in society.
Stockholm Business School is one of the largest departments at Stockholm University and there are about 3,500 students studying at the department. Large groups of students participate in our training opportunities. The stricter restrictions that have now been introduced make it difficult to implement the plans we have for activities on campus at present. Stockholm Business School's ambition is to be able to return to examinations and teaching on campus as soon as the opportunity arises. At present, we do not know when in time this may happen.
