Internship summer 2017

Ericsson ConsumerLab is a consumer insight and analysis department based in Kista, Stockholm. We are  now looking for two summer interns during 3-4 months.


  • Repacking and merge historical data files including survey data carried out in 50+ countries during 1995-2017 regarding consumers view of life in general and mobility/ICT/Mobile technology in specific.
  • Creation of statistical modeling for description of current view of mobility and life situation among consumers in different regions and countries as well as the view of different (mobile) service providers
  • Creation of Time serie models based on the overall period of collected data as well as predictive analyses for the period up to 2020.
  • Creation of ‘sales package’and presentation material based on the statistical analyses --- Tis in terms of PPT and other material that will be used for a wide audience.

The work will overall be lead and guided by Ericsson ConsumerLab Chief Statistician but you will also be working on your own/together with other project members.

Required skills/background

· Bachelor/Master degree in Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, Econometrics or similar subject with a strong focus on statistics.  (Or last year student of such an education)

· Fluency in SPSS usage including syntax writing.

· Advanced skill in PPT and graphical visualization of (statistical) results.

· Experiences of working with multi-source data and handling of databases.

· Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

· Fluent written and spoken English.

Additional desired skills/background

· Experience from ICT industries

· Experience from using S-Plus/R or similar software.

· Good social skills

· Knowledge from other cultures and countries

· Experience from independently work, possibilities to take own initiatives and have a positive, goal oriented and problem solving attitude.

· Experiences from presenting results and communicate statistical matters to other experts as well as non-statisticians.
