The center is a collaboration between Stockholm Business School (SBS), the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES), and the Department of Economics. The new center is generously supported by a grant from the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation of SEK 60 million with the objective of consolidating the PhD programme and the research environment within the fields of monetary policy and financial stability. To this end, a new track will be launched within the PhD programme.
"We are very happy to be able to establish a research center with this profile and will offer a customized sequence of courses for students who wish to specialize in these areas", says Per Krusell, IIES, newly appointed director of CeMoF. The deputy director of CeMoF will be Anna Seim, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, which will be administering the new center. A CeMoF webpage will be launched shortly.
