Why are some organizations better managed than others? Why do American companies like Apple, GE, IBM, McDonald’s and Walmart dominate global rankings? Although answers may vary, there seems to be a correlation between firms’ ability to invent and adopt new management practices and competitive advantage, financial (marketing) performance.
Taking a practice-based approach the project seeks to contribute to the evolving theoretical interest in the theory and practice of management innovation by suggesting a holistic understanding that integrates the various phases into a process of co-production.
